Lullaby For a Raven's Child
The moon upon her silver throne
looks down in silence deep
on scenes replayed throughout the years
as little ones find sleep.
Just like you, my child so dear,
their eyes begin to close
and off they fly to dream of worlds
where only children go.
Sleep soft, my little angel.
Know that mother's near.
When you wake from slumber still,
I'll be here.
Rest in my arms, my little one,
and I will guard your dreams.
All blessings from above;
sleep well, my love.
So fear no shadows in the dark
as 'round you turns the night
for I'll be here to hold you close
'til in comes morning's light.
